The Whittier Cruise port is around a 90-minute drive southeast of Anchorage. There are connecting bus or shuttle and train services. Avoid Taxis as the fares can be massive for this journey. Our preferred transport is the train which takes around 2.5 hours and is super scenic. The Alaska Railroad is usually used by Cruise Lines and there is also the Glacier Discovery Train, both of which operate to/from Anchorage, pre-booking is recommended. The Whittier cruise terminal is very basic with limited seating and no Wi-Fi, there is no porter service but luggage trolleys are available
