The Brand new Seward Cruise Port officially opened in 2026 and has replaced the old 1960's era terminal and pier. This state of the art facility created in conjunction with Royal Caribbean is now the largest cruise terminal in Alaska. It also doubles as Seward's largest indoor community venue in the off season. The new terminal has Wi-Fi and a great passenger flow to allow easy embarkation & disembarkation. There is a Free Shuttle from the cruise port to the small boat harbour, the Seward Museum and the Alaska SeaLife Centre
The terminal is adjacent to the Alaska Railroad station with connections to Anchorage & Fairbanks. We loved the layout on the Coastal Classic Train Gold Class with it's domed style carriages, which almost rivalled the Rocky Mountaineer in our opinion
