Online Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
You confirm that you have read and agree to these Booking Terms & Conditions, the Cruise Deals Booking Conditions, and the terms and conditions of all applicable travel suppliers, including the relevant cruise line, airline, hotel and tour operators. These supplier terms form part of your booking contract.
2. Pricing, Availability & Special Offers
All prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and, unless otherwise stated, are based on lead-in twin share accommodation or stateroom occupancy. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice until your booking is confirmed. Promotional fares and special offers are available only for the advertised period or until sold out and are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Some offers require full payment at the time of booking, while others require payment in accordance with the advertised deposit schedule.
3. Passenger Information
Passenger names must exactly match the name shown on the government-issued photo identification or passport used for travel. It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure all booking information is accurate. Name changes after booking may incur supplier fees or require re-ticketing.
4. Passports, Visas & Travel Documentation
Passengers are responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, travel authorisations (including ESTA, eTA or similar where applicable), vaccination certificates and any other documentation required for their itinerary.
Unless otherwise advised by the cruise line, passports should generally remain valid for at least six months beyond the completion of travel. Visa costs are not included unless specifically stated. Guests travelling on non-New Zealand passports may require additional visas or permits, including permission to re-enter New Zealand.
5. Age Requirements & Children
Passengers must meet the minimum age requirements of the applicable cruise line. Where required, guests under 21 years of age must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
If travelling with a child who is not accompanied by both legal parents or guardians, additional consent documentation may be required by the cruise line or immigration authorities. Failure to provide the required documentation may result in denied boarding.
6. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended at the time of booking and should include cover for cancellation, medical expenses, luggage, supplier insolvency and travel disruption. Where available, we also recommend purchasing cover that includes COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
Cruise Deals and travel suppliers are not responsible for medical expenses incurred during your holiday.
7. Payment, Deposits & Price Changes
Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated by the supplier.
Once your booking has been paid in accordance with the supplier's payment requirements, your travel price is guaranteed except for increases outside the control of Cruise Deals, including but not limited to government taxes, destination levies, port charges, fuel surcharges, currency fluctuations or supplier-imposed charges permitted under the supplier's terms and conditions.
8. Fuel Surcharges
Cruise lines reserve the right to introduce or increase fuel surcharges at any time, including after final payment has been made. Any such surcharge imposed by the cruise line will be payable by the passenger.
9. Amendments & Cancellations
Supplier amendment and cancellation fees apply in accordance with their terms and conditions.
In addition, Cruise Deals administration fees apply:
Air ticket changes from $50 per ticket
Booking cancellations: $100 per person (maximum $200 per booking)
Booking amendments from $25 per change
Credit card and payment processing fees are non-refundable.
10. Travel Documents
Electronic cruise documentation and airline itineraries will be issued once all supplier requirements have been satisfied, including full payment and completion of any mandatory online check-in.
11. Included Services & Additional Costs
Unless specifically stated, package prices do not include visas, vaccinations, gratuities, shore excursions, airport transfers, meals, hotel resort fees, local tourist taxes or any other services not expressly listed as included.
Where airfares are included, they are generally based on promotional economy class fares and may not be available until approximately 11 months before departure. Airline fare conditions may restrict changes or refunds.
Hotels included within a package are on a room-only basis unless otherwise stated.
12. Onboard Charges & Destination Levies
Onboard credit, where included, is issued by the cruise line, is generally provided per stateroom unless otherwise stated, is non-transferable, has no cash value and must be used during the applicable voyage.
Daily onboard gratuities or service charges may apply unless specifically included in your fare.
Certain destinations and port authorities may impose local passenger levies, tourist taxes or environmental charges that are not included in your cruise fare. These charges may be collected by the cruise line before, during or after your voyage and remain the responsibility of the passenger.
13. Health Requirements
Passengers are responsible for complying with all health, vaccination and medical requirements imposed by cruise lines, airlines and destination countries.
Where required, passengers must complete health declarations, public health questionnaires, liability waivers or other documentation prior to boarding.
Pregnant guests are responsible for ensuring they meet the cruise line's pregnancy policy and may be required to provide medical certification before travel.
14. Cruise Line Policies
Passengers agree to comply with all cruise line policies relating to health, safety, security, acceptable behaviour, dress standards, smoking and vaping restrictions.
Cruise lines reserve the right to refuse boarding, remove passengers from the vessel or refuse service where these policies are not followed.
15. Itinerary Changes
Cruise lines may alter itineraries, ports of call, sailing times, vessels, onboard experiences or included services due to weather, mechanical issues, operational requirements, government regulations, health and safety concerns, environmental conditions, civil unrest, emergencies, assistance to other vessels or other unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.
Such changes do not automatically entitle passengers to compensation or a refund unless provided for under the cruise line's terms and conditions.
16. Personal Property
Cruise Deals and travel suppliers are not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of passengers' personal belongings.
17. Supplier Responsibility
Cruise Deals acts as an agent for cruise lines, airlines, hotels and other travel suppliers. Each supplier operates under its own booking conditions, cancellation policies and terms of carriage. Cruise Deals is not liable for the acts, omissions or default of any travel supplier.
18. Changes to Terms
Cruise Deals reserves the right to amend these Booking Terms & Conditions where necessary. The terms applicable to your booking are those in effect at the time your booking is confirmed unless changes are required by law or by the relevant travel supplier.
