It is now time to download the Princess Cruises App. You can then attach your booking and start personalising your cruise. The App is really useful on board as it shows the daily activities, plus you can book for some events and shore excursions etc

For roundtrip cruises from Australia or NZ and most Trans Tasman cruises the onboard currency is Australian Dollars (AUD$) If you are cruising anywhere else in the world the onboard currency is US Dollars (USD$)
Tip! It is a cashless society onboard so register your credit card at check in and use your room key as a charge card onboard

The Best Value way to book a drinks package is to book the Princess Plus fare, as this includes drinks up to A$22 per drink, a basic Wifi package and some specialty casual dining restaurant vouchers.
You can add No Alcohol Drinks Packages, or Classic Soda Package as part of your Princess Cruises check in on the Princess App
TIP! Purchase in advance via the Princess app, as these are more expensive to buy onboard. You must Prebook no later than 4 days prior to your cruise in your Princess Cruises check in

For roundtrip Australia, roundtrip NZ and most Trans Tasman crruises where the onboard currency is Australian Dollars AUD$ your tips (Gratuities) are pre-paid for your room stewards and wait staff. You only need tip in places like the Spa and Salon if you book any optional treatments etc. Princess Cruise ships cruising anywhere else in the world do not include gratuities, so you should allow approx US$20pp per day payable onboard

Some Princess Cruises promotional fares will offer a guarantee grade room. This allows you to choose the type of room you would like i.e Interior or Balcony etc but you cannot choose the location or room number. Princess Cruises will choose your room and advise you on departure in the App. Note this can be anywhere on the ship and if booking an Oceanview or Balcony it could have an obstructed view. Special requests are not accepted on these rooms

Heck yeah! All guests including infants require a valid passport if your cruise is visiting any international port, even if you don't plan to get off. Preload your passport details for each guest in the Princess Cruises App for speedier boarding on your departure day

  • It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us at the time of booking if they or anyone in their party is pregnant or becomes pregnant after booking.
  • Cruise lines have specific policies regarding pregnancy, including restrictions that may prevent passengers from sailing if they enter the 24th week of pregnancy by the final day of the cruise. These policies vary between cruise lines and are non-negotiable.
  • Customers are required to review the cruise line’s pregnancy policy before booking and ensure they meet all medical requirements for travel.
  • If a pregnancy is disclosed after the booking has been confirmed and the passenger is unable to travel due to the cruise line’s pregnancy policy, standard cancellation penalties will apply as outlined in our terms and conditions.
  • We will assist customers to the best of our ability in exploring alternatives (e.g., transferring the booking to another passenger) but cannot guarantee a refund or waiver of fees.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover unforeseen circumstances, including those related to pregnancy and medical conditions.

Yes! This is a trap for new cruisers, so if your cruise is visiting New Caledonia, Lifou or Mare you MUST have a Travel Insurance policy and be able to show it at embarkation. If you cannot show a valid Travel Policy you will be denied boarding with no refund. Pre-load your Travel Insurance details in the Princess Cruises app. Get a quick Travel Insurance quote here
