For roundtrip cruises from Australia or NZ and Trans Tasman cruises the onboard currency is Australian Dollars (AUD$) If you are cruising anywhere else in the world the onboard currency is US Dollars (USD$)
Tip! It is a cashless society onboard so register your credit card at check in and use your room key as a charge card onboard

Yes, Carnival offer free kids clubs from 2+yrs. Carnival's youth program Camp Ocean, and teen programs Circle “C” and Club O2. Carnival's Turtles program where children under two years of age are welcome to join in Camp Ocean activities during specific times. Parents will have the option to leave their under two year olds in the care of youth staff for a fee, or they can stay with the child and use the facilities at no charge.

Heck No! We are living in the digital age. Your E tickets will show up in your App after you have paid in full and completed all the mandatory check in information

For roundtrip Australia, roundtrip NZ and Trans Tasman your tips (Gratuities) are pre-paid for your room stewards and wait staff. You only need tip in places like the Spa and Salon if you book any optional treatments etc. Carnival ships cruising anywhere else in the world do not include gratuities, so you should allow approx US$20pp per day payable onboard

Some Carnival promotional fares will offer a guarantee grade room. This allows you to choose the type of room you would like i.e Interior or Balcony etc but you cannot choose the location or room number. Carnival will choose your room and advise you on departure in the App. Note this can be anywhere on the ship and if booking an Oceanview or Balcony it could have an obstructed view. Special requests are not accepted on these rooms

Heck yeah! All guests including infants require a valid passport if your cruise is visiting any international port, even if you don't plan to get off. Preload your passport details for each guest in the Carnival Cruise App for speedier boarding on your departure day

Yes! This is a trap for new cruisers, so if your cruise is visiting New Caledonia, Lifou or Mare you MUST have a Travel Insurance policy and be able to show it at embarkation. Norfolk Island is part of Australia, so regardless of your residency if you are not travelling on an NZ or Australian passport, you will need an Australian visa. This applies even if you do not plan to disembark. More Info here
