As the gateway to the Kimberley coast, Broome is usually home to smaller Expedition ships. It is located near Town Beach & China town. Cruise ship guests usually transfer from the visitor centre to the ship as it is a closed port, so no pedestrian access. There are usually shuttle busses on cruise days from the port to China town. A transfer to the airport takes around 15 minutes
